Stream Daniel Lanois’ Black Dub Tonight

November 9th, 2010

Daniel Lanois is a musical kind of guy. He’s a world-renowned producer best known for working with the likes of Bob Dylan, Peter Gabriel, Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, U2 and Neil Young. But he’s also a guitarist, singer and songwriter, so he started a new band, Black Dub, featuring him on guitar, Brian Blade on drums, Daryl Johnson on bass and multi-instrumentalist Trixie Whitley on the microphone. The band (above, playing “I’d Rather Go Blind” in a recording session) comes to The Bowery Ballroom next Wednesday, but you can get a sneak peak, so to speak, tonight: Tune in to WFUV 90.7 FM (or stream here) at 9 p.m. to hear Lanois and Whitley in a taped Words and Music session with Rita Houston.
