See Junior Boys Tonight at Webster Hall

June 14th, 2011

Jeremy Greenspan and Johnny Dark began collaborating together on electronic music in 1999. Despite a solid demo, not much became of their work, so Dark split to pursue other interests. But when a label eventually became interested in 2002, Greenspan began working with Matt Didemus, his engineer, on new material. The first Junior Boys EP, Birthday, came out the next year, and their debut LP, the well-received Last Exit, followed in 2004. Time hasn’t slowed down this Canadian duo, though, as their fourth full-length, It’s All True, out today, proves. Want to hear the new tunes and shake it at the same time? Then go see Junior Boys (above, playing “Birthday,” “Under the Sun” and “Bits & Pieces”) tonight at Webster Hall.
