Dennis Leary Brings the Funny

July 13th, 2011

Denis Leary first gained fame nearly 20 years ago, starring in some in-your-face MTV commercials in the early ’90s, and he’s been part of the public consciousness ever since. Leary has written songs, authored a book, done comedy specials, been in movies and TV (most notably on the excellent Rescue Me)—he’s even been funny during baseball broadcasts—and now he’s back doing what he does best, performing stand-up. Leary comes to The Wellmont Theatre on Friday, and he’s bringing friends: Lenny Clarke, Robert Kelly and Kenny Rogerson, plus musical entertainment by the Enablers, featuring the Rehab Horns. So join in on the phone and get your weekend started with some laughs.
