Spend Friday Night with King Khan & the Shrines

July 26th, 2012

With high-energy live shows, shake-your-ass music and wacky stage antics (ask Lindsay Lohan about the often scantily clad frontman), King Khan & the Shrines have been a cult phenomenon for more than a decade. The band has been laying waste to stages from Coachella to SXSW with their unique sound—the musical intersection of garage rock, psychedelia, R&B and soul—and they released a hot new single, “Bite My Tongue,” earlier this year. But the best way to experience King Khan & the Shrines (above, playing “Welfare Bread” for baeblemusic.com) is in person, which you should do tomorrow night at The Bowery Ballroom.
