Everybody Have a Good Time with the Darkness at Terminal 5

October 19th, 2012

British glam rockers the Darkness formed in the most eastern point of the United Kingdom in 2000. And frontman Justin Hawkins, guitarist brother Dan Hawkins, drummer Ed Graham and bassist Frankie Poullain quickly became known for their catchy, ’70s rock–influenced music, crazy stage antics and high-energy live shows. Of course, sometimes bands need to take a break, and the Darkness (above, doing “”) were no different. So in 2006, a year after the release of One Way Ticket to Hell … and Back, everyone went their own way to work on side projects before finally reuniting last year. Their third album, Hot Cakes (stream it below), came out in August, and the four-piece is out on the road to support it. Watch them play “Everybody Have a Good time,” above, at this year’s Isle of Wight Festival, and then go see them on Sunday at Terminal 5.
