Pop-Folk Duo Boy Plays Webster Hall Tomorrow Night

October 3rd, 2013

Appropriately enough, singer-songwriters-multi-instrumentalists Sonja Glass and Valeska Steiner met while studying pop music in Hamburg, Germany in 2005. Two years later, the pair formed Boy. Following the release of several singles and an EP, Boy (above, performing “Oh Boy” for eTown Radio) spent two-and-a-half years recording their pop-folk debut, the autobiographical Mutual Friends (stream it below): “It’s about arrivals and new beginnings,” says Steiner. But more than that, according to The Independent, it’s also “delicate and durable, their songs are infectious confections of understated guitar, bass and piano.” The duo just recently began touring North America, which brings them to Webster Hall tomorrow night.
