Radkey Come to Mercury Lounge to Melt Your Face Tomorrow

February 19th, 2014

The Missouri garage-punk trio Radkey is a family affair: Dee Radke, who handles guitar and vocals, Isaiah Radke, who takes care of bass and vocals, and Solomon Radke, who mans the drums, describe themselves as “three brothers on a quest to help save the world from false rock.” The teens grew up listening to their dad’s punk, metal and rock records. And they began playing together at home before opening for Fishbone as their first live gig. That appearance led to them recording their debut EP, Cat & Mouse (stream it below), in 2013. A second EP, Devil Fruit (stream it below), arrived later in the year. And now you can catch Radkey (above, performing “Out Here in My Head” on Later … with Jools Holland) live tomorrow at Mercury Lounge.
