Louis Futon Brings the Party to Rough Trade NYC on Saturday Night

April 29th, 2016

Heavily influenced by hip-hop (plus jazz and R&B)—and straight out of Philly—producer Louis Futon’s been bringing his electronic beats across the country for only a couple of years, but he’s already done official remixes of big names like Wiz Khalifa, Future and Kanye West and Logic. Somehow using melodies, electronic tones and drums, he’s been able to make music that doesn’t easily fit into one genre. In fact, he’s got “Genres don’t define me” on his Facebook page. Last year he released a seven-track eponymous EP (stream it below), impressing blogs across the land. Earmilk succinctly put it: “Louis Futon destroys it with self-titled EP.” And fresh off dates with Big Gigantic, he brings his dance party to Rough Trade NYC tomorrow night. Join the party.
