Catch Coast Modern Tomorrow Night at Rough Trade NYC

June 15th, 2016

Luke Atlas and Coleman Trapp met three years ago in Los Angeles while each was trying to write material for big-name pop musicians. As they struggled to have their songs picked up, they began working together before eventually forming the duo Coast Modern, making their own uninhibited brand of synth pop that’s earned them comparisons to the likes of Grouplove and Alt-J. Thanks to the release of a few singles, Coast Modern (above, doing the catchy “Hollow Life” for Hype Hotel at this year’s SXSW) have begun making a name for themselves all across the country. And to that, they’ve hit the road, and their tour brings them to Rough Trade NYC tomorrow night. Strange Names and Ryan Egan open the show.
