The Capitol Theatre Welcomes O.A.R. Tomorrow Night

December 27th, 2016

Marc Roberge (vocals and guitar), Benj Gershman (bass), Chris Culos (drums) and Richard On (guitar) became friends while attending high school in Rockville, Md. And then the four of them met Jerry DePizzo (sax, guitar and vocals) when they were all at Ohio State before forming the jammy, roots-rock outfit O.A.R. (Of a Revolution) in 1996. They’ve released eight studio albums over the years, including 2014’s The Rockville LP (stream it below). And over the summer, they put out XX (stream it below), which AllMusic calls “a celebration of the veteran alt-rockers’ 20th anniversary as a band, the aptly named XX offers up a career-spanning collection of their biggest hits and most vital live performances.” And, of course, playing live is what O.A.R. (above, doing “Shattered” live for KINK FM’s Skype Live Studio) are most known for—whether at a festival, club or arena, no stage is too big or too small for them. Don’t miss O.A.R. tomorrow night at the Capitol Theatre, when they will be playing material from across their entire catalog. Singer-songwriter and guitarist Taylor Carson opens the show.
