Exclusive Video: Guards Live from Music Hall of Williamsburg

December 10th, 2012

New York City psych-rockers Guards, led by frontman Richie James Follin, are poised for a breakout in 2013 thanks to their sunny, reverb-heavy rock tunes. “I definitely think it’s power pop,” Follin says. “’70s music, but kind of more evil.” The band’s debut full-length, In Guards We Trust (see its artwork and track listing below), arrives via Black Bell Records on February 5th, and we had the opportunity to capture their set back in September, when they supported Two Door Cinema Club at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Here’s the album’s lead single, “Silver Lining.”
