Little Green Cars Are a Band on the Verge

January 18th, 2013

Little Green Cars make lively folk rock heavy on the harmonies. Their debut album, Absolute Zero, arrives in March via Glassnote Records, home to Mumford & Sons and Two Door Cinema Club. And with this soaring a cappella rendition of “Red” at the Tibet House in Chelsea, it’s clear the Dublin five-piece is poised for bigger things.

In an interview, also filmed at the Tibet House, Stevie Appleby and Faye O’Rourke reminisce about the band’s beginnings, their childhood influences and why writing happy music is a challenge. Watch the interview: http://tbp.im/VP1Bnt. See them perform “The Consequences of Not Sleeping”: http://tbp.im/VQWfrO.

And subscribe to The Bowery Presents Live for more intimate performances and revealing interviews, plus the latest info on our upcoming live-streaming shows, like Ra Ra Riot next Tuesday at Music Hall of Williamsburg.

(Little Green Cars play Music Hall of Williamsburg on 3/26.)

The Bowery Presents: The Sinclair

September 5th, 2012

“Harvard Square, may you rock out once again,” says The Boston Phoenix because The Bowery Presents’ newest venue, The Sinclair, opens next month in the heart of Harvard Square in Cambridge, Mass. And although the 525-person venue will host the likes of the Meter Men featuring Page McConnell (on 10/30), Andrew Jackson Jihad (on 10/31) and Asteroids Galaxy Tour (on 11/8), plus a host of others, you won’t have to choose between a great band and a fantastic meal because The Sinclair will also have a 104-seat restaurant helmed by one of the country’s top chefs, James Beard Award–winner Michael Schlow. So you don’t miss out on any upcoming news or concert dates, follow The Sinclair on Twitter and Facebook, and check www.sinclaircambridge.com often.
