Superhumanoids Play the Late Show Tomorrow at Mercury Lounge

June 20th, 2013

Their debut full-length, Exhibitionists, came out last week, but Superhumanoids, staples of the Silver Lake music scene in Los Angeles, have been winning over audiences since multi-instrumentalists Sarah Chernoff (vocals, piano and harp), Cameron Parkins (vocals, guitar and keys) and Max St. John (guitar, keys and drums) teamed up more than two years ago. And while much of the trio’s dreamy electro-pop music is upbeat—or “music to help kiss the doldrums away,” as they call it—their material still manages to cover a range of emotions. Watch Superhumanoids, above, performing “So Strange” at the Virgin Mobile House at this year’s SXSW and then go see them onstage, playing the late show (with the Stationary Set) tomorrow night at Mercury Lounge.
