Double Your Pleasure with Two Nights of Wild Child This Week

November 10th, 2015

Led by lead singers and main songwriters Kelsey Wilson (vocals and violin) and Alexander Beggins (vocals and ukulele), Wild Child—rounded out by Chris D’Annunzio (bass), Drew Brunetti (drums), Evan Magers (keys), Matt Bradshaw (trumpet) and Sadie Wolfe (cello)—use brass and strings to make their own unique spirited, catchy folk-pop sound. The Austin, Texas, collective (above, doing “Reno” for AudiotreeTV) put out their second studio full-length, Fools (stream it below), last month. “The album will calm and invigorate you, and will catch you off guard with the brevity of its lyrics mixed with its soft, sometimes New Orleans-style sounds,” according to Noisey. And as good as the the LP is, Wild Child are best experienced live and in person. So go see them tomorrow night at The Bowery Ballroom and on Wednesday night at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Winnipeg, Manitoba, six-piece Royal Canoe open both shows.
