Two Nights of Brian Fallon & the Crowes and Ryan Bingham

September 20th, 2016

Singer-songwriter Brian Fallon (above, performing “Nobody Wins” on The Late Late Show with James Corden) is best known for passionately fronting the Gaslight Anthem, which he’s done for more than a decade. But this year, the Jersey rocker branched off in a new musical direction with the release of his solo debut full-length, Painkiller (stream it below), this past March. And with the album, he’s established “himself as a top-tier songwriter in the increasingly crowded pantheon of indie-Americana scenemakers,” raved AllMusic. “Fallon has found a way to distill his bandy’s fiery nostalgia into something a little more refined, but no less affecting.”

This month, Fallon teams up to hit the road with another talented singer-songwriter, Ryan Bingham (above, doing “Nobody Knows My Trouble” for Jam in the Van), who also happens to be an Academy Award winner. His fifth studio release, Fear and Saturday Night (stream it below), came out last year. “His dusty, dusky, whiskey imbued voice makes even the most unassuming lyrics seem profound and soulful,” according to American Songwriter. “Ryan Bingham could have capitalized on his surprising award streak to lasso in a larger audience. But instead he took a different, more honest path. He hasn’t run from success as much as escaped its grip to release music that’s honest, raw and comes straight from the heart.” And now you’ve got two chances to catch Brian Fallon & the Crowes and Ryan Bingham live when they play the Capitol Theatre on 9/23 and Terminal 5 on 9/26.
