Ahead of New Album Palace Play Rough Trade NYC Tomorrow Night

October 18th, 2016

London four-piece Palace—Leo Wyndham (vocals and guitar), Rupert Turner (guitar), Will Dorey (bass) and Matt Hodges (drums)—put out their debut EP, Lost in the Night (stream it below), two years ago. “Palace deal in theatrical melodies to tingle the spine,” according to NME, which compared them to the Antlers and the Maccabees, adding, “Best is centerpiece ‘Ocean Deep,’ which distills Palace’s knack for intimate yet epic atmospherics into five minutes of subtle reverb and beguiling guitar crescendos.” Their first studio album, So Long Forever, arrives next month, but you just might hear some of it when Palace (above, doing one of their new songs, “Have Faith”) play Rough Trade NYC tomorrow night. Brooklyn trio Glass Gang open the show.
