With New Tune, Big Gigantic Launch Tour This Weekend at Terminal 5

March 10th, 2016

These days it seems like electronic music is as big as big as it’s ever been. So you’d think it would be tough to stand out in such a crowded field. But that hasn’t been the case with Big Gigantic. With only two members, producer Dominic Lalli and drummer Jeremy Salken, Big Gigantic refers to the band’s sound, not its size. They began making music together in Boulder, Colo., in 2008, and if they had stuck to just putting jazz melodies over dance beats, that might have been enough for them to have a different sound. But what really makes people notice Big Gigantic’s music is that Lalli also plays the sax. The duo put out A Place Behind the Moon (stream it below) in 2010 and they haven’t looked back. The high-energy festival favorites have put out a slew of remixes and singles ever since, including the recently released “The Little Things” featuring Angela McCluskey (stream it below). And with the arrival of new music, Big Gigantic kick off a new tour this weekend, on Friday and Saturday at Terminal 5. Come join the dance party.
